I often say that what we perceive as our greatest weakness can become an untapped strength when met with the right support, insight, and opportunity for growth.
I have worked in the social work field for over five years, serving a diverse range of clients including families, children, individuals with substance use disorders (SUD), and those experiencing co-occurring mental health conditions. My experience includes providing case management and therapeutic support designed to enrich clients’ lives, strengthen resilience, and help them achieve meaningful, lasting change.
My passion extends beyond traditional counseling. I am deeply committed to collaborating with clients to build self-sufficiency, strengthen self-advocacy skills, and foster confidence in navigating life’s challenges. I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and capable of becoming the best versions of themselves.
In 2025, I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Services. Since graduating, I have worked in nonprofit settings providing trauma-informed crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), substance use and recovery-focused group therapy, skill-building treatment planning, and psychoeducation. I support individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors, helping them develop practical coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and healthier thought patterns.
I also work closely with families to connect them to community resources and entitlement programs, helping to reduce barriers and promote stability, independence, and long-term wellness. My approach is strengths-based, compassionate, and collaborative, with the goal of helping each person build a life that feels balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling.

Michael Izdebski, LPCA

Michael Izdebski, LPC-A is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University. He is also completing advanced training with the Western New England Psychoanalytic Society, deepening his skills as a psychodynamic therapist. Michael uses psychodynamic therapy to help clients better understand how their past experiences and relationships influence the present—supporting growth, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
Michael has experience working with young adults, adults, and individuals of all ages who are navigating challenges such as life transitions, identity development, relationship issues, and substance use concerns. He provides a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to face difficulties without feeling alone.
Before becoming a therapist, Michael studied Philosophy at Central Connecticut State University, with a focus on existential thinkers, meaning-making, and philosophy of mind. These interests continue to guide his approach, inspiring him to help clients build lives that align with their values, create fulfilling relationships, and discover a deeper sense of meaning and acceptance.

With more than 15 years of experience spanning outpatient practices and federally qualified community mental health centers, Marie has built a career defined by thoughtful, skilled care for children, adolescents, families, and adults navigating mental health challenges.
Throughout her clinical practice, Marie has demonstrated versatility and depth in her therapeutic approach. She conducts comprehensive mental health assessments, delivers crisis intervention, and provides ongoing support using evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based methodology. Her work has encompassed individual and family counseling, trauma-informed care, safety planning, and intensive in-home services for at-risk youth. Marisa Rambush, LMSW

Marisa has over twenty years of experience working with children, teens and young adults. After graduating from Salve Regina University, Marisa worked in public and private school education. She earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport and her LMSW from Sacred Heart University. Marisa's background in education provided tremendous insight into child development and special education. She uses that knowledge to help children with special needs by providing them and their parents with individualized support.
For the last eleven years, Marisa has also used that experience to help children and families learn how to improve their communication, regulate emotions, cope with stress, and resolve conflicts. She has supported individuals through various life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, school related issues, substance use, parenting struggles and family relationships. Marisa's main areas of focus include anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, anger management/emotional regulation, school avoidance, special education, and crisis management.
Her goal is to always offer a holistic, judgment free environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing painful topics. She blends a variety of modalities to give each individual the tools and skills they need to live their best lives. Her mission is to empower people to gain confidence, practice self-care, achieve wellness and have healthy relationships. Marisa is a CT native. She spends her free time spoiling her beloved dog Teddy, tending her gardens and traveling as much as possible. She also dedicates her time working to reduce homelessness and food insecurity in her community.

Previous employment included working in a clinic setting and later in a community-based program with in-person or telehealth sessions.
